“Musical Documentaries for the Stage”

This is Miles' own genre, mixing music, history, literature, politics and humor. As he describes it, “all art has an unavoidable social/political context from which it grows.” Putting the music of the 1941 or 1968, alongside the politics and society of the day, proves both illuminating and entertaining. And there are stories to tell.

Miles' shows have been seen at:

  • Kennedy Center, Smithsonian Institution, Old Town School
  • Royal Opera Theatre of Marakesh, Morocco
  • Pegasus Players Theatre, Milwaukee Rep Theatre

“Entertaining, thoughtful mix of music,
prose, and poetry.” —Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
